The Grammys: My picks, of course.

So as we all watched the Grammys last night for all the wonderful music talent you can't help but sit and watch and judge everything these celebs were wearing. I mean... what were some of these celebs stylists thinking? I don't really think they were. Aside from some of the WORST dressed there were several best dressed but I will only discuss my top three picks.

So let's get started,

Of course my number one is Rihanna, look at how gorgeous and classy she looks? A big change up then what she usually strolls the red carpet in, and this year this red was the perfect color on her. I die.

rhianna // alaia

My second pick of the evening was Taylor Swift, she has evolved so much over the years and I absolutely love this look on her. It fits her perfectly, and this dress was amazing! And I love that she painted her OWN nails for the night, thatta girl!

taylor swift  // j. mendel

And last but not least, Florence Welch. This dress is out of the norm for any other celeb but she hands down is the ONLY one who is able to pull this look off. I mean who can rock emerald green from head to toe, literally... only Florence. Don't be a hater on this one people, you know you secretly love it and wouldn't you just die if a designer designed something SPECIFICALLY for you, I sure would.

Ok now that we've got the BEST dressed down, now it's time to talk about the WORST.

Poor Adele, I love her so much but the poor girl missed the mark this time around. There is just WAY too much going on here...should have went safe and stuck with black.

Okay, I don't know whats going on here? There are just no words for this and apparently Just Jared thought this was "stunning" uh, I think not.

esperanza spalding  // eden diodati

Last but not least, Alexa Chung who is one of my biggest fashion icons... ever. She really disappointed me in this one. She looks like she is going to a picnic, not the Grammys?

I would love to hear what you all think, and who were your best and worst dressed picks, feel free to leave any feedback and comments :)

I'M BACK!

Ok, so ignore how BORING the blog layout is right now. It's currently under construction, and will hopefully be up and running by the beginning of the NEW YEAR! So in the meantime, I figure why not ring in the new year with a blog post... since it's been literally over a year since i've posted. Sad, I know. But really, my New Years resolution is to blow up this blog, and make a name for myself in the fashion world. Yep, that's the plan so I will need all your help! PLEASE & THANKS.

Enough rambling, lets get onto my first professional outfit post (ignore the others I have posted over time) I had so much fun with this shoot, and my outfit selection as well. It was the perfect little ensemble to kick off the weekend.

STYLE FILE: HIGH WAISTED

Taking advantage of the sun today, so happy that it's starting to feel like spring! I am finally able to wear all my spring time pieces that have been sitting in my closet and collecting dust. Nothing feels better then wearing something new, and today was one of those days.

top: H&M
high-waisted shorts: UNIF

gladiator sandals: bakers

tribal earrings: luna boutique

This was an easy outfit to wear on such a nice day, and I hope this weather stays like this for a while, because there will be many more outfit posts to come!

Until next time,

xoxo

school project: updated

I haven't updated about any school projects in quiet sometime now! Schools been busy, busy as always and I am SO close to being done i'm starting to get senioritis!

Here is a recent project I have been working on all quarter long, we had to create another store... yes, for all of you who remember my "Therapy" boutique I had to create yet ANOTHER one for a different class... and I decided to change it up a bit and did a men's store.. I love men's style so I thought it would be something different to add into my portfolio!

Here are some images of the project coming together, feedback is appreciated as always!

spring essentials, to die for.

Aside from this gloomy weather, Spring is just around the corner.. this personally is my ALL time favorite season. I mean who doesn't like bright colors, floral prints, and  whimsical maxi dresses? There are so many up and coming trends this season, and I can't wait to get my fix of each.

Neon colors, color blocking, and all things bright are a major trend this season. Wether it be in clothing items or accessories this is the perfect trend to liven up your wardrobe.
color-blocking at it's finest. (photo credit: pinterest)
And how could you miss out on wide leg pants? I clearly can't get enough, these are the perfect spin off of the maxi skirt and the prints and colors they are coming out with are to DIE for.
hight-waisted wide leg trousers, amazing. (photo credit: pinterest)
The maxi skirt will never fade out, and this season pleated ones are the next best thing, try a pop of color to make any outfit go from drab to fab! I'm also lovin' the short and sweet version!

Chambray shirts are a new spin on the denim jacket, they can be dressed up or down and are the perfect thing to throw on, on any given day.

Accessories are my ALL time favorite thing, and for those fashion gurus who are trying to save their pennies... these are the next best thing aside from major pieces. Boxy shoulder bags are in, in a wide variety of colors, wedge sandals are the perfect addition to any Spring outfit and who could forget chunky necklaces that make a BIG statement to any ensemble.

Those are some of my favorite picks for Spring, and some style insight! Hope you enjoyed my post.
